Having been appointed to fill a vacancy on the Conejo Recreation and Park District Board in the past, John has the experience, leadership qualities and the drive and is the best candidate for this position.

John's Mission Statement

"As a board member, I will work with the community to provide safe quality parks, trails, open spaces, and recreational activities for people in the Conejo Valley through sound financial decisions and park board experience."

John has a passion for his family and his community

His Family

John (California Lutheran University '84) and his wife Sue have been married for 29 years and have lived in Thousand Oaks since 1995.  They have three sons.  Johnny is an EMT and works for a major hospital organization and lives in Thousand Oaks. Daniel, a Graduate of California Lutheran University Class of 2017, as a Financial Advisor with John at UBS Financial Services  in Westlake Village. Christopher, their youngest (adopted 2014), is in the 5th Grade at Lang Ranch Elementary.   Christopher, along with their Granddaughter Raegan, keep Sue and John young!   We must not forget Clyde and Harley, the fur children.  Guard dogs by day (so they think) and backyard rabbit chasers by night.  (No they don't catch them).

Vast experience with different organizations: Serving Others

John was appointed to the Conejo Recreation and Park District Board of Directors to fill a vacancy in 2009.   For two years (2009 & 2010) John served on the Board and was selected to be the Vice Chair in 2010.    

John also has over 33 years experience as a Finanical Advisor.  He is a Senior Vice President with UBS Financial Services in Westlake Village.  This experience provides John with the necessary tools to understand often complex financial situations and make sound and practical financial decisions.

His Conejo Recreation and Park District Board Member experience coupled with his finanical background will provide him with the proper tools to be an effective board member if given the opportunity.
